Key Price Levels

Know where to act before futures price gets there.

Receive daily reference levels for multiple futures markets, then prepare for two distinct outcomes: rejection back toward the session open or continuation toward the next level. Standard ES/NQ access also includes downloadable NinjaTrader 8 indicators.

Prepare before the move

Begin with fixed decision zones instead of drawing reactive lines during the session.

Trade either response

Use rejection for a mean-reversion plan or acceptance for continuation.

Keep execution structured

Define confirmation, invalidation, stop, and target before entering.

Daily workflow

A level is location. The trade comes from behavior.

KPLs replace improvised lines with the same decision sequence every session. The value is knowing where to prepare, what confirms the idea, and where it is wrong before entering.

  1. 01

    Map the session

Load the posted levels and identify which upper or lower reference price may come into play.

  2. 02

    Read the approach

Note trend or rotation, the speed of arrival, and the confluence surrounding the zone.

  3. 03

    Choose the playbook

Rejection can support a mean-reversion plan; acceptance can support continuation toward the next reference.

  4. 04

    Define and review

Set entry, invalidation, stop, and target before risk; record the decision afterward.

One daily map. Two ways price can respond.

Manual traders use the posted map to prepare for either a rejection back toward the session open or acceptance through a level toward the next reference. The Pro KPL Bot brings configured versions of those workflows into NinjaTrader 8 and manages eligible orders, stops, targets, and exits.

  • Rejection playbook: evaluate rotation back toward the session open or another reference
  • Continuation playbook: evaluate acceptance and movement toward the next level
  • Trend days, gaps, news, and platform faults can invalidate either setup

Common questions

Level construction, session workflow, failure modes, automation, and access.

Key Price Levels are fixed futures reference prices anchored to the regular-session opening print. The standard ES/NQ map has four levels: two outer levels derived from full-session travel and two inner levels derived from after-hours travel. Other supported markets can use a different level count. KPLs identify where to evaluate behavior; they do not predict direction or make every touch a trade.
